Bring Back My Bar January 2012

Scentsy discontinues scents every six months to make room for the new scents that will come out in the spring & fall catalogs. Much of the reason is seasonal. Some scents are reintroduced in the next appropriate season & some are not. Many customers & consultants alike wished for their favorite scents to be reintroduced in the catalog. With only so much space this just isn't possible so Scentsy invented the “Bring Back My Bar” promotion. Customers & consultants are now able to vote for their favorite scents to be brought back. Scentsy then tallies the votes & brings back the most popular 20 scents. This promotion happens in January & August.

Here is the list of January's 2012 Bring Back my Bar!

Last time I posted the making of my BBMB "samples" They turned out OK, however the scents all mixed together and ended up giving everyone a headache! This year I decided to be a little more adventurous and make my own mini testers.

I got small plastic constrainers (Thanks to Tabbel!! She got them at the Dollar Store and Michael's)
Here is the process.

Made labels for each Scent out of card-stock paper.

Bella was helping... of course.

Starting cutting up the scents into tiny strips with a crinkle cutter (Bed Bath and Beyond for about $4)

Stuff as much wax as you can into the container! For me it was a little over half a cube.

I then put them in the over at about 250 degrees for about 10 minutes. Keep watching them! This was the first batch and I only did 4 just to make sure everything would turn out OK. The plastic containers did not melt however the did stick a tiny bit to the pan. The second batch I did all the rest of the scents and move the containers just a tad on the pan about 6 min into them melting.  When they came out the containers were not sticking at all.

I let them sit on a tray until they solidified again.

They came out perfect and smooth! Just like a real Scentsy tester!

Here they all are! Happy Bring Back my Bar everyone!

Too bad I cant claim the time it took me to make these buggers on my taxes. It look quit a bit of time.
